2014 has seen a difficult and challenging economy, causing many disadvantages in the business and production of the Group. However, by its best efforts and dedication in labor and production, many important parts of TBS Group have achieved many important milestones:

Achievements of the Group

• Paying a budget with about 230 billion dong, increasing by about 15% compared to 2013
• An average number of employees were 26,000, increasing by 30% compared to 2013.
• THT average income was 6 million dong / person / month, increasing by 9% compared to 2013
• New investment budget increased sharply, twice more than in 2013
• The revenue of the entire system increased sharply, over 30% compared to 2013
• Outstanding achievements by the industry

The industries have also had remarkable achievements:

The shoe production industry, a core industry of the Group, had outstanding achievements: 21 million pairs of shoes to be exported were produced, reaching 100% of planned target and increasing 30.2% compared to 2013. This was also the highest volume of shoes to be exported since the establishment of TBS.

The bag industry has grown steadily over recent years, confirming its important role and growing potential with 5.8 million products produced in 2014 alone, reaching 116% of planned target and gaining a record increase compared to other industries, 48% compared to 2013. This was a remarkable achievement, especially for new industries in the TBS system.

Investment – management of real estate and Infrastructure in industrial parks, Logistics, Tourism and Commerce. Although the industries were under intense competitive pressure in the market, in the past year they continued to show a lot of encouraging growth. In 2014, revenues of the four industries reached 85% of the year’s given plan, a promising figure of 4.6% increase compared to 2013. In addition, the warehouse logistics system at Tan Van TBS ICD continues to expand. With an area of 450,000 m2, this promises to open new development opportunities for TBS Logistics in the coming years.

In recent times, although the economy has shown positive signs of a recovery, in general it has not yet escaped from difficulties, especially in the production and business industries when there has been fierce competition in terms of costs, labor, and prices, while still ensuring the quality of services and products. For a multidisciplinary group such as TBS, these difficulties seemed to be multiplied. But in the hard-working tradition of Vietnamese people and the spirit of united efforts of TBS staff and workers, achievements were still reached. The Board of Directors and managers at all levels were dedicated, careful in every decision and direction, and grasped opportunities when they presented themselves. The staff and workers all enhanced the sense of responsibility as well as professionalism in the work. It was the spirit of the collective – the strong bamboo trees have been “working together” in TBS over 365 turbulent days to reach these goals.
